Just as a ‘top touring car’ list is incomplete without Andy Rouse, much is the same of Peter Brock: aptly, the Aussie even piloted a Volvo 850 Estate during the 1996 Australian Super Touring Championship season. ‘King of the Mountain’ Brock took five wins from seven outings and nearly twice as many points as runner-up Bob Morris during a dominant 1974 championship in the Torana, and an iconic Marlboro red and white livery doesn’t hurt the model’s appeal either. Let’s not forget that in-between taking Brock to championship glory, the Torana also secured that man Morris and Colin Bond their sole ATCC championship glories in the series in ‘79 and ‘75 respectively.
