Life with the achingly pretty – in fact so pretty it makes most cars look mundane – Volkswagen CC has been getting better and better. Most of the time has been spent with myself behind the wheel charging around town, to shoots and generally trying to get work done but as of yet the family challenge hasn’t been undertaken.
So to fix that we set about a challenge! The boys had been hankering for a trip to Al Ain Zoo (if you have never been, you must make the trip) for a while now, so what better venue to head for with a car full of kids, a picnic and a buggy…not to mention two little push bikes.
We’d initially thought the car wouldn’t swallow the payload, but it turned out to be a cinch. Two baby seats safely locked into their ISOfix fittings along with their respective passengers, two push bikes, a picnic basket and a pushchair all handled with aplomb. Who said we all need to roll around in SUVs?!
The journey to Al Ain is probably one of the more boring in the Emirate yet we cruised along happily enjoying the ride – I think the damper test sessions that I happily enjoyed weren’t enjoyed by everyone though – and the little 2.0FSI proved more than capable of a hustle when required, while still not breaking the bank. A quick brim in the morning got us there, back and three more days of commuting around Dubai.
I’ve said it before… we love the CC. Now where are those Bentley wheels and air-bag set-up? I’m feeling a challenge.

the price for this car is very reasonable as compared to other cars from VW.
if the specs and features are considered then this is very good car and even the $27000 to $38000 price tag is also good.
the mileage is very nice with 21 to 31 mpg. Great car
