Black Friday. As the name suggests it’s a depressing time of year when people go stark raving bonkers over discounts. And we’re not just saying that to sound clichéd: each member of the crankandpiston.com team has at some point worked in the retail industry, and let’s very few things that make you weep for humanity more than truning up for work at 4am/5am only to find customers already waiting outside the door. That’s a rant for another day though.
Fortunately The Hoonigans – with the help of former Formula D champion Chris Forsberg and compatriot Ryan Tuerck – have found a way to make the dreaded experience that much more compelling and interesting. And all it took was a couple of drift-spec Nissan 370Zs (1000bhp as applicable) and the abandoned Hawthorne Mall in Los Angeles, California. Cue tyre smoke, slow mo footage, and not even the tiniest hint of shopping ‘mania’.
Why can’t Black Friday always be like this? Seriously. Give me a reason…
