10. Porsche 718 Boxster
[Not a valid template]It seems incredible, but it’s been 20 years since Porsche’s “new” sports car was first revealed. To mark two decades of more affordable dynamic excellent, Porsche has given the Boxster three numbers for its name – the 718 refers back to a Porsche of the ‘60s. As you’d expect, this facelifted 981-generation machine is faster, more efficient and more powerful than the current one, but it’s also had some big changes. As well as the new name, the entry-level 718 Boxster features a turbocharged 2-litre, four-cylinder engine in place of the old flat six, developing 295bhp, while the 718 Boxster S has a 2.5-litre four-cylinder unit with 345bhp. It’ll almost certainly be brilliant.
