9. Opel GT Concept
[Not a valid template]The Opel GT Concept looks every inch a fantastical design study, but in could form the basis of a planned production model. Drawing inspiration from the Vauxhall XVR and Opel Experimental GT concepts of the 1960s, a production version of the GT Concept would rival Audi’s TT as an affordable little coupe, possibly under the Tigra name. The concept car’s engine is a three-cylinder, turbocharged, 1-litre unit with 143bhp sent to the rear wheels, which doesn’t sound like much, but its sub-1000kg kerb weight means a 0-100kph time of less than eight seconds.
