[Not a valid template]Let’s take a quick look at the stats: the 6.2-litre supercharged V8 in the Cadillac CTS-V produces 640bhp, while the 6.2-litre supercharged (HEMI) V8 in the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat produces 707bhp. Each will easily top 320kph and each will hit the ton from standstill in less than four seconds. So yeah, there was going to be a LOT of power tests in our twin test.
But as it turns out, the character of these two powerhouses proved far different than we’d expected. Indeed, while one of these sports saloons we dubbed ‘Hannibal Lector’, the other we considered ‘a chainsaw-wielding psychopath gargling brimstone’. But which is which, and which ultimately got the nod?
