Renault at the Opera (2004)
Some 600 guests crammed into the historic Teatro Massimo opera house in Turin, Italy for the reveal of the Renault R24 in 2004. Why? Well, why not? With Flavio Briatore at the head of the team, you have to expect the theatrical. Unfortunately the aria sung by the R24 that season wasn’t quite in tune. Although Jarno Trulli scored a win in the car at the Monaco Grand Prix , he was fired later in the season and replaced with Jacques Villeneuve, who along with Fernando Alonso helped Renault to third in the constructors’ championship.
