Force India’s Bollywood spectacular (2008)
When Spyker rebranded as Force India in 2008, much was made of its connection to its namesake country. So where better to launch the VJM01 than at the spectacular Gateway of India in Mumbai? Bollywood celebrities by the bucket load were in attendance at a glitzy, glamorous and no doubt very expensive soiree that preceded an after party on owner Vijay Mallya’s yacht. Hopefully it was lots of fun, because the car failed to score any points in the 2008 season. Only Super Aguri finished lower, and that was because the team collapsed after four races.
