2. Lancia LC2
The LC2 was the big success that should have been for Lancia. Developed with Ferrari for an assault on the World Sportscar Championship from 1983 to 1986, it had huge amounts of power and secured numerous pole positions. But despite its speed it monstered through fuel and proved unreliable. In 51 races it scored 13 pole positions but just three wins. But never mind that – it’s Italian, has Martini livery and curves to die for. Welcome to the list.
