3. Moss’ hat trick (1961)
At the season opening 1961 Monaco Grand Prix, all eyes were on the new Ferrari 156s of Richie Ginther and Phil Hill. But it was British driver Stirling Moss in an ageing, unfancied privateer Lotus 18 that stole the show, taking pole position and winning the race for his third and final Monaco GP victory.
