4. Anthony Davidson – Le Mans, 2012
The 2012 Le Mans 24 Hours saw the big return of Toyota to the World Endurance Championship. But the homecoming didn’t go as planned, with all of Toyota’s cars failing to finish. But Anthony Davidson had the most impressive end to his race, catching the Ferrari of Piergiuseppe Perazzini at the Mulsanne corner and following a multi-axis flip, crashed into the wall. Perazzini was unhurt. Davidson walked away, but suffered two broken vertebrae in the accident. Ouch.
