2. Rhys Millen – off-road truck, 2008
Rhys Millen is well known for his drifting, but he got sideways in the wrong way when he attempted to become the first person to backflip a truck back in 2008. He succeeded, but the truck’s suspension was set up for take off, not for landing. Plummeting off axis, he bounced and rolled. “Not a perfect success,” noted the commentator, helpfully, as Millen landed on his side, fluids leaking everywhere. He was unhurt though. Hooray!
