10. Cornering fail – CART, Long Beach, 1991
At the 1991 CART race at Long Beach, California, the race was temporarily halted with Michael Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi had a spectacular coming together in the pit lane. The safety car was deployed and set off around the narrow track with great gusto to lead the cars around at a set pace. Unfortunately, the driver misjudged a corner and in front of the entire grid, understeered into a wall. Classic.
