[Not a valid template]The Porsche 911 R is a limited edition, stripey, hardcore 991 that sits above the 911 GT3 RS in terms of price and promises to be the purists’ 911 of choice. There’s none of your fancy turbo nonsense, and it’s got a proper manual gearbox with three pedals. According to Porsche, it’s perhaps the ultimate road-focused 911 of the past 53 years, which is quite a claim. The engine is the same flat six found in the 911 GT3 RS and has 493bhp. Expect this to be one for the collectors, especially as only 991 are being built; despite the $190,500 price tag, they’ll sell like hot cakes.
