Sete Gibernau (again), Qatar ’04
Upon a shock return to MotoGP competition at the 2009 Qatar GP, Sete Gibernau was bombarded with questions concerning a race at the same venue five years earlier, in which title rival Rossi was relegated from eighth on the grid to the very back following protests from Gibernau that the Yamaha team had cleaned the Italian’s grid slot ahead of the start, in contravention of the regulations. A furious Rossi let the red mist get the better of him and crashed out on lap six. The Doctor though would have the last laugh by taking his fourth title in a row, and Qatar 2004 ultimately being Gibernau’s last MotoGP victory.
