The modified category was possibly the hardest fought competition of the event. Yousif Alhurais battled against the onslaught of Japanese tuner cars to bring his E36 M3 to a third place finish. Rear-wheel drive Bavarian brawn taking the fight to the all-wheel drive might of the Mitsubishi massive.
Yousif did well to bring the M3 in to third place against the EVO’s. It was Sami Al Shebani that pipped him to second place in the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX.

Daniel consistently put in flying laps and was untouchable in the modified class.
The professional category was likewise dominated by the EVO’s. Ahmad Arafat, in the Disturbed Racing/Sam Performance EVO VI, traded places with Raed Hassan throughout the evening.
It was Raed, also in an EVO VI, who nailed the final run to secure second place. The competition between these two evenly matched cars and drivers was fierce and will no doubt continue throughout the season.
Fadi Bakawi in the Tensai Tuning EVO IX was in a league of his own and dominated Round 1. First place in the professional category and overall winner with a fastest lap time of over three seconds from his nearest rival. Will his dominance continue in Round 2?
