Land Rover teases the new Discovery’s cabin ahead of the vehicle’s debut on 3 September.
Just when you thought the Virgin Galactic spacecraft theme at the New York Motor Show was a one-off crowd puller…
To draw focus to both the latest incumbent of its new Discovery range – the Discovery Sport – Land Rover has gone the full-NASA ‘Houston, things have gone a tad array’ with its latest teaser video.
Focus on the new Discovery family thus far has been squarely pointed towards the Vision Concept’s intelligent Laser Headlights, Smart Glass, Laser Terrain Scanning, and other Sci-Fi B-movie titles (not forgetting the ‘fastest Land Rover ever’ making a splash at the recent Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance either). And with the looks of the new model pretty much nailed down – give or take some real wing mirrors and a little chiselling here and there – the latest release focuses on the new Discovery’s cabin.
Key to the design brief is versatility, and the new ‘bold new premium, compact SUV’ comes as standard with 5+2 seating. No news yet on Land Rover’s ‘gesture control’ or the Transparent Bonnet, but we’ll expect more details upon the Discovery’s unveil on 3 September.
