[Not a valid template]It’s been at least ten minutes since the last Gran Turismo Vision Concept was revealed so another one was due. It’s also the first Peugeot to have made us sit up and go ‘hmmm’ since the Dakar-spec 2008 DKR and the first concept from the French marque to grab our attention since the Exalt Concept, which we also caught an eyeful of at last year’s Paris Motor Show. And with good reason, since – given its 875bhp and 875kg (and thus 1:1 power-to-weight ratio) – the Vision Gran Turismo hits 0-100kph in 1.73 seconds.
Yep. A Peugeot. Gets to 100kph faster. Than a Ferrari F40. You can tell we’re dealing with a virtual universe, can’t you…
Power comes from a 3.2-litre turbocharged V6 and is sent through the all-wheel drive system to 22in alloys at the front and 23in at the rear. Aero-wise it’s (traditionally) stunning, stands just 104cm tall and is equipped with a ventilated BREMBO carbon discs (380mm at the front and 337mm at the rear) for maximum for performance.
Will it ever be built? No. Enjoy it on Gran Turismo 6 for Playstation while you can.
