The TAM Auto Engineering / House of Portier race team took victory in the UAE GT Championship in 2009/2010 and hope to repeat this feat in the upcoming season. Preperation works are well underway to the Callaway Corvette to bring it up to the latest regulations for the GTA class. The pre-season work was performed at Callaway Motorsports’ Germany base where we captured the car before it headed out at Hockenheim for its first shakedown. Here’s a 90sec teaser of what happened.
Though the conditions in Germany – wet, windy and very cold – aren’t really what the big bad Vette’s been used to running in, the car performed extremely well. Currently the car is on its way back to the UAE prior to the official launch of the season next week at the Dubai Autodrome before the first race on October 22nd.
