Lexus has released a teaser trailer of its new hoverboard creation, along with footage of it in action to show there was no funny business or editing involved.
If you’ve seen Back to the Future, it’s safe to say you wanted a hoverboard. Well, now, Lexus has granted that wish – sort of.
The creation uses superconductors which create a magnetic track when cooled with liquid nitrogen. Meaning that without the magnetic field, it simply won’t work.
However, don’t get your hopes up, the prototype will not be going on sale. We know you’re just as gutted as us, but check out this video to see how it works – it’ll cheer you up!
And, there doesn’t seem to be any issues with water, unlike in Back to the Future II.
