DRIFT Ferrari and Lamborghini. ‘Shredding some supercars’ with Ryan Tuerck

Network A and Ryan Tuerck ‘shred some supercars’ with Daily Driven Exotics in Vancouver, Canada. More specifically a 600bhp Liberty Walk Ferrari 458, a 503bhp F430 Scuderia, and a 661bhp Lamborghini Murciélago SuperVeloce.

So…yeah…the life of Ryan Tuerck. Not only is the man one of Formula Drift’s most respected American competitors, he’s also in British Columbia in one of Network A’s latest videos to ‘shred some supercars’, more specifically a Ferrari 458 with Liberty Walk bodykit and an ‘08 Scuderia, the most extreme version of the F430.

Let’s start with some basics before moving onto the actual smoking tyre destruction. At stock, the 4.5-litre V8 in the Ferrari produces 562bhp and 398lb ft of torque, enough for a ‘over 325kph’ top speed and 0-100kph in ‘under 3.4 seconds’. Hardly slow then, but Daily Driven Exotics – owners of the prancing horses in action today – have nevertheless crept that up to ‘around 600bhp’ with revised engine mapping, slotting a pretty slick Liberty Walk bodykit over the top. Interestingly that massive carbon rear wing is actually from the race-spec 458 Challenge, while the wing mirrors have been plucked straight from a 458 GT3.

The F430 Scuderia meanwhile is another matter. The word itself means ‘Team’ in Italian, giving you some idea how much Formula 1 know-how went into the build of the paired-back 458 predecessor. Limited edition – obviously – the Scuderia kicked out 503bhp from its 4.3-litre V8 – 20bhp more than the standard model – dropped 100kg, and received a quicker six-speed sequential transmission as well as performance-focused engine tuning, traction control and suspension setup. 0-100kph was nailed in 3.6 seconds, and the Scuderia was considered a beast on-track.

Oh, and if the prospect of two Ferraris being ragged half to death on-track isn’t tantalising enough, both the 458 Liberty Walk and the F430 Scuderia are joined by the unhinged 661bhp Lamborghini Murciélago SuperVeloce. Yeah. This should be interesting.
