Lotus completes two-week testing program at the Nürburgring with its ‘fastest and most powerful production model yet’, the 450bhp 3-Eleven
Lotus’ fastest and most powerful production model yet – the 3-Eleven – has completed a two-week testing program at the infamous Nürburgring. The comprehensive schedule put the 450bhp 3.5-litre supercharged V6, chassis tune and suspension geometry launched at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed to the test. Boasting a sub-900kg kerb weight and a power-to-weight ratio of 500bhp/ton, the 3-Eleven hits 0-100kph in a little under three seconds and a top speed of 280kph, a hallmark of the fixed rear wing that produces 215kg of downforce at 240kph.
Production of the 3-Eleven is set to take place early next year, with prices for the road going model set at $126,500 and $148,200 for the race version. Be sure to check out the below video for a rundown of the test.
