Track two is a further step-up in the challenge and is laid out like a proper circuit with chicanes, hairpins and even a straight section nastily placed before the tightest hairpin. No easy right/left right/left combinations here although fortunately the markers indicating turning points are still present. Lap after lap, my confidence is building and again my steering and throttle input has become much smoother and less reactionary.

Today has been a steep learning curve but both the Golf and I have come out the other end relatively unscathed. A challenge to any driver, a new skill learned and, perhaps most importantly. awesome fun hooning the new Golf around a frozen lake.
