When Volvo announced that it was returning to touring car racing in the Australian V8 Supercars series, we got to thinking about how many brilliant Volvos have raced over the years.
From the success of the most boxy Volvos in the 1970s and 80s, through the awesome 850 estates in the British Touring Car Championships, the Swedish firm has long balanced its reputation for safety and conservative design with proper racing performance.
And just as we’d finished those thoughts, we found this video. Which basically sums everything up. Rock on.
