If the UAE Radical Championship, UAE GTs, the UAE Touring Cars, the Maserati Trofeo, FG1000 and the Porsche Cup Middle East have proven anything during the 2011/2012 season, it’s that limited grid numbers does not equal processional races. There’s plenty of splintered carbon fibre to prove that.

Granted we’ve not brought you much coverage of the Western Gulf Association (WGA) Supercar series this season on crankandpiston, but we thought you might be interested to see some of the highlights. There’ve been thrills, plenty of spills and a couple of blown tyres en-route to the title showdown at the Bahrain International Circuit.

For those of you keeping score, after six rounds, it was the Batelco Racing Team enjoying their time in the spotlight.
